Large Antique Blue Glaze Planter
This antique planter is a characteristic example of plant pots from Grottaglie Puglia, a town known for its age old ceramic craft. The large plant pot features sgraffito banding and scalloped edge detailing. What sets the antique pot apart is its ink blue glaze which was not a common colour used in the region and makes this a rare, collectable piece. Though dating back to the early 1900s, these details give the pot its modern aesthetic. The handmade pot with its charming patina is unglazed internally and has a hole at the bottom for drainage. The blue glazed pot is a great size and would be ideal to add some colour to any home or space, both indoors or outdoors. It would also coordinate well with the other matching planters as featured in the images.
