A large vintage bowl with a charmingly hand painted floral design. This mid-century design bowl is typical of Eastern European ceramics from the Austro-Hungarian legacy and can be associated to the Corund mark, traditional ceramics from the Transylvania region of Romania/Hungary, and found throughout the Mediterranean. The vintage bowl features an expressive floral and foliage design at its center in varying shades of blue, green, orange and ochre set against the cream base. In contrast the outer edge has a thick band with a hand painted ‘squiggle’ line in ink blue. Also available with matching bowls, plates and jug, in various designs as seen in the images, that work well together and would create an impressive and eclectic table setting.

Found in Lecce

the capital and baroque jewel of the Salento.

Dimensions: H10cm x W26.5cm x D26.5cm

These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
