Set of x2 Antique Hand Painted Blue Floral Plates
This set of x2 antique plates with their delicately hand painted floral decoration date back to the early 1900s. They are both stamped with Industria Ceramica mark (and rhinoceros) at the bottom, from San Giovanni Valdarno in Tuscany, known for its ceramics since 1866. On these fine plates, the hand decorated scalloped adornment encircles the outer edge, with a floral medallion at its centre, and set against the ivory glaze. The matching pair both have a wonderfully well-loved patina that only occurs with use over time. These antique plates would make a lovely addition to any kitchen, adding some country charm to a table setting.
Found in Lecce
the capital of the Salento famous for its Baroque architecture.
Dimensions: Plate 1 & 2 H3.5cm x W22.5cm x D22.5cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen
