Vintage Hand Painted Abstract Bowl
A rustic handmade bowl with an abstract hand painted all over pattern. This vintage bowl is typical of Eastern European ceramics from the Austro-Hungarian legacy and can be associated to the Corund mark, traditional ceramics from the Transylvania region of Romania/Hungary, and found throughout the Mediterranean. The unique, mid-century bowl features an expressive design in varying shades of ochre brown, pastel green and orange. The inner circle representing the evil eye, whilst encircling the eye there’s a more freestyle motif representing flowers or nature, and framed by linear patterns on the edges and rim. Perfect to use as a dish at aperitivo hour, create an eclectic table setting with the matching ceramics as seen in the images.
Found in Lecce
the capital and baroque jewel of the Salento.
Dimensions: H6.5cm x W18cm x D18cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
