x3 Antique Hand Painted Planters
A set of x3 antique and rare plant pots originating from the southern Italian region of Calabria (from the town of Seminara which is known for its age old ceramic craft). Originally these small hand made and hand painted pieces were used to decorate the ends of balconies. The x3 ‘porta piante’ have differing yet complimentary abstract patterns in earthy green and brown that render the conical vessels modern in aesthetic. The plant pots also feature a fluted rim and hole at the bottom for drainage. The hand thrown pieces of pottery are unique objects and could be used as (hanging) planters or simply as decorative display pieces.
Found in Ostuni
the enchanting hilltop town of the Valle d’Itria know as la città bianca (or ‘white city’).
Dimensions: 2 Tall Planters: H15cm x W13cm x D13cm / 1 Small Planter: H12cm x W11.5cm x D11.5cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
