XL Vintage Village Scene Bowl
An extra large vintage bowl with an intricately hand painted motif encircling the rim and a quaint village scene at its centre. With its elegant proportions and soft buttermilk glaze, the bowl’s uniqueness comes from its charming design - painted in a rich, deep brown and testament to the superior brushwork of the artisan. This one of a kind bowl dates back the the 1920s/30s and has a refined quality that would have taken pride of place in a family’s home. It also features the makers mark at the bottom (possibly Società Ceramica C.C.R. of Laveno established 1856), as seen in the images. Today the vintage piece would make a lovely addition to any home, simply as a decorative display piece or a centrepiece on a table for fruit.
