Antique Black Glaze 2-Handle Pot
A unique and beautifully formed hand thrown terracotta pot from Puglia. The iridescent black glaze and 3-D florets are particular to the small Salento town of Lucugnano. The southern Pugliese town is known for its age old ceramic craft whose decorative elements set it apart from other ceramics of the region. This antique piece dating back to the late 1800s would have been traditionally used for preserving food and local delicacies.
