Antique Ceramic Bowl by Laveno

€160.00
Sold

An antique ceramic bowl by Laveno (Società Ceramica Italiana) with an elevated pedestal, elegant spherical body and stylised handles which are reminiscent of antiquity. Dating back to the early 1900s and originally used for serving food, the years of family use have given it a special patina with a crackled glaze effect against its beautiful neutral tones. It would be ideal as a fruit bowl, or as a decorative display piece, and would add drama to any table setting. It has the makers mark at the bottom, and an old repair on one of the handles, as seen in the photos.

Found in Lecce

the Baroque jewel and capital of the Salento.

Dimensions: H16cm x W27cm x D23cm

These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
