Antique Drip Glaze Terracotta Bowl
This charming handmade terracotta bowl originates from the southern Italian region of Calabria and dates back to the 1800s. What makes this bowl unique is the vivacious internal glaze - splattered in vibrant cobalt blue and turquoise, layered with decorative floral stamps in burnt orange. The external terracotta is raw and unglazed, and highlights the hand crafted quality with its 3 small handles. The antique bowl features that magic patina that only years of daily use can bring about. Today it would be ideal as a statement-making table centrepiece or fruit bowl, adding a splash of colour to any kitchen or outdoor space.
Found in Ostuni
the charming hilltop town of the valle d’Itria known as la città bianca (or ‘white city’).
Dimensions: H12cm x W35cm x D35cm
