Antique Fluted Vessel

€60.00
Sold

A particularly unique vessel made in the early 1900s in Puglia, most likely originating from the town of Grottaglie - famed for its age-old ceramic craft. What makes this antique piece a rare find is the undulating, fluted surface and its organic texture and patina. The ivory glaze has eroded naturally and evolved over time with oxidation giving way to the luminous sky blue hue. This historic piece has a lot of character and would be ideal used as vase or storage vessel, adding some country charm to any home or space.

Found in Ostuni

the charming hilltop town of the valle d’Itria known as la città bianca (or ‘white city’).

Dimensions: H17.5cm x W14cm x D14cm

These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
