Large Antique Hand Painted Bowl
A large antique bowl with elegant hand painted adornment and stylised handles. Dating back to the mid 1800s, the elegant ‘zuppiera’ or terrine would have taken pride of place during family mealtimes, and shows signs of being a well loved domestic piece of pottery with its truly unique patina. Signs of its faded glory include the hand painted decorative swirl and lines that encircle the vessel in blue, as well as faded remnants of a yellow decorating the pedestal, upper rim and handles. Today, this antique piece would make an ideal fruit bowl on a kitchen table or a decorative display piece adding style to any kitchen or table setting.
Found in Lecce
the Baroque jewel and capital of the Salento.
Dimensions: H17cm x W34cm x D28cm
