Antique Hand Painted Vase
Antique hand-thrown terracotta vase with rustic handles and form, and a lovely hand painted floral motif on both sides. From the neighbouring region of Calabria, this would have been used for food storage and dates back to the late 1800s. This original piece has a unique surface texture and glaze in a rich buttermilk colour with splashes of pistachio green and burgundy red. Today, this wonderful piece of Calabrese pottery with its truly one of a kind pattern would be ideal as a vase or decorative display piece.
