Antique Olive Oil Jug
A beautifully formed, hand thrown jug historically used for olive oil and known as a ‘srulu pi l’uegghju’ in local dialect. The mesmerising surface with its mustard drip glaze set against the ochre base, is typical of the Pugliese town of Terlizzi, known for its age old ceramic tradition. The antique terracotta jug was historically used to hold olive oil and dates back to the 1800s.
