Antique Pugliese Confit Pot
Antique hand-thrown terracotta confit pot dating back to the early 1900s, with a delightfully rustic patina and splashes of melon set against the ochre surface from the firing process. This wonderfully unique urn or storage pot with elegant handles and spherical body has an organic surface which has eroded beautifully over time and was originally used for preserving foods such as anchovies, sardines or olives in olive oil.
