Antique Rustic 2-Handle Vasetto
A rare confit pot originating from Puglia used to preserve foods such as olives, artichokes or other vegetables in olive oil. The rustic pot is particularly charming due to its dark green lip glaze, uniquely curved handles and perfectly aged patina. The handmade pot has a raw, organic surface with immense character, showing signs of its daily use over time. This type of rural pottery was typically only partially glazed (here at the rim for hygiene purposes, so it could be wiped clean after use) as it was expensive to glaze the entire pot. Today this antique pot makes the perfect vase, ideal to inject some country charm to your home or space. Create an impactful display when pared with the matching farmhouse pots as seen in the images.
Found in Lecce
the baroque jewel and capital of the Salento.
Dimensions: H29cm x W27cm x D18.5cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
