Antique hand-thrown confit pot dating back to the early 1900s, with a soft mustard glaze around the rim and handles, set against the raw clay base. This wonderfully unique pot with an elegant form and handles, has an organic surface and patina which has eroded beautifully over time with use. It would have been originally used for preserving foods such as anchovies, sardines or olives in olive oil.
