A very charming antique pot dating back to the late 1800s and hailing from the southern Italian region of Puglia. This hand thrown pot has a well-loved patina that is testament to its years of daily use, most likely serving a family as a yeast pot. The rustic pot has a green splatter effect on the surface, commonly used on yeast pots of the region, and a unique technique applied by hand, meaning each piece is one of a kind. It has a wonderful colour combination of pastel green spots set against the white base, with highlights of mustardy yellow drops - most likely from contact with other vessels in the old kilns during the firing process. Today it’s the perfect piece to inject some farmhouse charm into any home or space, particularly when pared with the matching green splatter pieces, as seen in the images.

Found in Ostuni

the charming hilltop town of the valle d’Itria known as the la città bianca (or ‘white city’).

Dimensions: H13cm x W16cm x D16cm

These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
