Antique Rustic Vasetto
An antique confit pot with two uniquely shaped handles, rotund body and a rustic patina. This charming vase dates back to the early 1800s and was originally used for preserving foods such as anchovies, sardines, figs or olives in olive oil. The handmade piece has a half glaze that gives way to the raw clay base creating a mesmerising three-tone effect. The antique vase features that magical patina that comes about authentically from years of daily use. The half glaze was a hygienic (and economical) addition rather than decorative, so it could be easily wiped clean after use. It was also a less expensive technique used rather than glazing the entire vessel. Add some rustic farmhouse charm to your home or space with this antique piece, that would be ideal for fresh or dried flowers. Create an impactful display with the matching vase as seen in the images.
