Found in the Martina Franca area and dating back to the mid 1800s , this terracotta piece would have taken pride of place in a noble family’s palazzo with its intertwined handles, elegant form and elevated pedestal. Called ‘robba bianca’ it represents the finest kind of ‘ceramica rustica’, and is produced with a pewter glaze and twice fired.
