Large Antique Green Glaze Planter
This large antique planter is particularly unique due to its deep forest green colour in a matte glaze that sets it apart from other similar Pugliese plant pots. It originates from Grottaglie, a small town in southern Puglia known for its age old ceramic craft. The hand thrown ceramic planter, with its wonderfully rotund form, is unglazed internally and has a hole at the bottom for drainage. The large plant pot with its perfect patina and rustic feel would be an ideal addition to any home or space, indoors or out, injecting some verdant colour and Mediterranean charm.
Found in Ostuni
the charming hilltop town of the Valle d’Itria known as the città bianca (or ‘white city’).
Dimensions: H22.5cm x W28cm x D28cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
