Large Antique Hand Painted Floral Bowl
A charmingly hand painted antique bowl made from terracotta. The deep bowl features a central floral and foliage design in turquoise green, steel blue, grassy green and mustard, contrasting with the ‘geometric’ border design in turquoise and ochre. Dating back to the early 1900s, it would have been on high rotation as a domestic bowl, as it features a rope hook at the back (as seen in the images) where it would have been hung on hooks in the kitchen. The antique piece which is glazed internally and left raw externally, has that magically aged patina authentically brought about by years of daily use. With its organic feel, enchanting motif and unique shape, the hand thrown bowl would make a perfect addition to any home, injecting some country charm to the kitchen.
