This charmingly antique confit pot dating back to the late 1800s was originally used for preserving foods such as anchovies, sardines, figs or olives in olive oil. Commonly associated with the Grottaglie region of Puglia, (known for its age old ceramic craft) this rustic pot has an elegant form, a well aged patina, unique handles, as well as sgraffito banding around the top, that sets it apart from other confit pots. Today it would make an ideal vessel for fresh or dried flowers or simply to inject some farmhouse charm to any home or space.
