M Vintage Emerald Green Planter
This medium-size vintage plant pot has an iridescent emerald green glaze and a wonderful rotund form. Originating from Grottaglie, a town in Puglia known for its age old ceramic craft, the planter (called ‘casc’po’ in local dialect) is characteristic of pot plants from the region. The hand thrown ceramic planter is unglazed internally and has a hole at the bottom for drainage. The planter dating back to the first half of last century, has that well loved, authentic patina that only comes about through years of use and exposure. It would be the perfect addition to inject colour to any home or space, indoors or out. Create an impactful display with the matching plant pots as seen in the images.
Found in Ostuni
the charming hilltop town of the Valle d’Itria known as 'la città bianca’ (or white city).
Dimensions: H19cm x W23cm x D23cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
