A set of 3 scalloped edge plates with distinctive hand painted animal and nature motifs in a turquoise green glaze. These farming and herding-related depictions are typical of ceramics from Vietri, a small town on the Amalfi coast, known for its age old ceramic tradition. These vintage ceramic plates were hand painted by Neapolitan artist Edoardo Giordano for I.C.A.V. and date back to the 1940s/50s. The set of 3 plates are each stamped at the bottom, as seen in the images. I.C.A.V was part of the famous I.C.A.M (Industria Ceramiche Artistiche Meridionali) manufacturers, whose work featured designs by the most important artists of the period. The vintage plates with their charming handmade decoration, crescent form and half scalloped edge, would make a lovely addition to any table.

Dimensions: All plates H2.5cm x W23cm x D13.5cm
