Vintage Hand Painted Floral Jug 2

€150.00

A wonderfully exuberant jug historically used for wine and originating from Abruzzo, Italy. This vintage jug dating back to the mid 1900s has a beautifully rendered floral motif which is testament to the superior brushwork of the artist/potter. The vintage pitcher has been hand painted in hues of blue, plum, mustard and green, with accents of ink blue, set against the iridescent white glaze. The charming hand painted floral motif and colours used are a common characteristic of jugs, plates and bowls of this southern Italian region.
