Vintage Hand Painted Spotted Floral Plate
A vintage plate with a charmingly hand painted floral design. This mid-century design bowl is typical of Eastern European ceramics from the Austro-Hungarian legacy and can be associated to the Corund mark, traditional ceramics from the Transylvania region of Romania/Hungary, and found throughout the Mediterranean. The vintage bowl features a spotted floral and foliage design at its center and around the edge in varying shades of green blue, and red, set against the cream base. The hand thrown piece also features a hole at the back as seen in the photos, enabling it to be wall mounted or hung for display. Also available with matching bowls, plates and jug, in various designs as seen in the images, that work well together and would create an impressive and eclectic table setting.
Found in Lecce
the capital and baroque jewel of the Salento.
Dimensions: H4cm x W21cm x D21cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration.
