Vintage Hand Painted Terracotta Bowl
A charmingly hand painted ceramic bowl made from terracotta. The exuberant, all-over floral design packs a punch with its mix of blue, sunflower yellow, pistachio green and ochre all set against a lovely buttermilk glaze. The decoration has a great movement as the potter has used a single style brushstroke to illustrate the floral motif and foliage. With its perfectly robust dimension typical of Pugliese pottery, this piece would make a lovely addition to brighten up any kitchen - perfect as a decorative display or a great centrepiece on a table for fruit.
Found in Ostuni
the charming hilltop town in Valle d’Itria known as the città bianca or ‘white city’.
Dimensions: H10cm x W30cm x D30cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
