Vintage Mint Green Vase
A vintage vase with a rustic quality that is contrasted with its vivaciously pastel green glaze. This hand thrown ceramic piece has a confident form, with sgraffito banding around the top edges. What renders the piece particularly unique is the iridescent mint glaze which has eroded beautifully over time giving it a charming quality. Originally used for preserving foods such as anchovies, sardines or olives in olive oil, today it would be ideal as a vase for fresh flowers or as a decorative display piece to inject colour into any home or space.
Found in Ostuni
the charming hilltop town in the valle d’Itria known as la città bianca (or ‘white city’).
Dimensions: H26cm x W18cm x D18cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
