Passata Bowls, also known as 'limmi,' originate from Puglia and they take the form of rustic handmade terracotta bowls. This early 20th-century hand thrown example was originally used to make tomato passata or to wash fruit and vegetables. The vintage bowl features a charming, glazed interior of splattered pesto-hued green over a buttermilk cream base which has aged beautifully, leaving the external terracotta unglazed and on display. Since these limmi were made by hand, each is a unique piece with its own characterful pattern. All the more collectible is its unique size, as smaller limmi like this one are a rare find. The vintage vessel is perfect to add some farmhouse charm to a kitchen and ready to be used as a fruit bowl.

Found in Lecce

the baroque jewel and capital of the Salento.

Dimensions: H10cm x W23.5cm x D23.5cm

These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
