Set of x3 Vintage Hand Painted Jugs
A charmingly rustic hand painted set of 3 jugs historically used for wine or water, in a characteristic design by Franco Fasano. With their pinched spouts, elegant form and matching blue bird motif with banding around the top edge, they were created by the Fasano family from the Pugliese town of Grottaglie - the most important and oldest centre of production of ceramics in the region. The particular hand-painted effect in the three identical jugs is a rare find. They would be lovely as a fresh flower display or simply as a decorative piece.
Found in Grottaglie
the small town in Puglia famous for its ceramic craft.
Dimensions: (L) H21cm x W15cm x D11cm / (M) H14cm x W11cm x D8cm / (S) H12cm x W10cm x D7cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration.
