XL Antique Striped Bottiglia
A spectacular ceramic ‘bottle’ dating back to the 1800s from the Pugliese town of Terlizzi, known for its age old ceramic tradition. This statement piece is imposing due to its extra-large size, as well as the cream stripe against the earthy ochre around the upper half of the bottle, typical of ceramics from the area. What makes it particularly special is the matching set of ceramic bottles in varying sizes, as seen in the images, ideal to create an impactful display. Originally made to hold wine, this vessel has a ‘handle’ towards the bottom, for ease when pouring the liquid. The XL historic example with its natural patina from daily use, would be ideal as a decorative display piece to inject some farmhouse charm to any home or space.
Found in Nardò
the charming Salento town known for its notable examples of baroque architecture.
Dimensions: H61cm x W30cm x D30cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
