XL Antique Striped Wine Bottle
A spectacular ceramic ‘wine bottle’ dating back to the 1800s from the Pugliese town of Terlizzi, known for its age old ceramic tradition. This statement piece is imposing due to its extra-large size, as well as the cream stripe against the earthy ochre, typical of ceramics from the area. This antique piece being particularly unique due to its green flecks on the upper part of the bottle. Originally made to hold wine, this vessel has a spout towards the bottom, where a cork stopper would have been placed to stop the precious liquid from pouring out. The XL historic example with its magical patina from years of daily use, would be ideal as a decorative display piece to inject some farmhouse charm to any home or space.
